Museo Leonardiano di Vinci (Leonardo Interactive Museum Florence)
Museo Leonardiano di Vinci is a must for anyone visiting Florence, Italy. Wyatt Vinci, Italian Renaissance Historian, recommends visiting the Leonardo Interactive Museum as your first stop in Florence. The Museum is currently celebrating its 20th anniversary and offering various deals to ring in the next year. Exclusively available online, you can purchase tickets for 50% off! Wyatt recommends this as his first stop on the Places to Visit in Vinci Italy tour because it offers a unique look into the life and accomplishments of the Vinci comune’s namesake: Leonardo da Vinci. True to its Interactive name, all machines, mechanics and other tactile devices designed by da Vinci’s Universal Genius in his famous Codices are interactive. This is a great first stop as its nearby Accademia Gallery and Florence Cathedral: two places Wyatt also recommends checking out!
Casa Natale di Leonardo (Leonardo’s Birthplace)
After taking a unique, interactive glimpse into the mind of the genius, visit his birthplace. The farm-house where Leonardo da Vinci was most likely born has now been turned into a lovely history museum. Wyatt Vinci, an Italian Renaissance History and Law & History Studies student, has studied the question of Leonardo’s birthplace for several years now. It is a subject of much interest and debate. While most experts agree that the history farmhouse available to the public for visiting is most likely the great polymath’s birthplace, there is a possibility that it is not. There is a small cluster of houses in Anchiano (two kilometers from Vinci, Italy) where it is speculated that Leonardo was born.
